Quantum Public Relations has said “you’re hired” to newly-qualified Account Executive Beverley Southern, who completed her apprenticeship at the end of October.
Beverley joined Quantum PR as an apprentice in July 2015, having completed her A-Levels at Highworth Grammar School. From the beginning of her apprenticeship, Beverley worked alongside members of the Quantum team on a variety of client accounts in the recycling, environmental and development sectors.
Speaking about her apprenticeship, Beverley said: “My time has absolutely flown by and I’ve learnt so many new skills that I’m sure will help me throughout my career. It’s been wonderful working with such a talented team and I’m grateful for the advice and guidance they’ve offered me since day one.
I’m delighted to have been offered a permanent position at Quantum now that my apprenticeship has finished, and I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my skills in this fast-moving industry.”
Throughout the 15 month apprenticeship programme, Beverley has also been working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Public Relations, through industry body, the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA). To gain the qualification, Beverley has had to produce evidence of her ability to undertake a number of PR-related tasks, as well as completing theory-based coursework.
Beverley continued: “I’ve been lucky enough to have regular contact with my PRCA mentor, Sue Buckle, who has been on hand to answer my questions and offer support when needed throughout the apprenticeship programme.”
Charlie Vavasour, Managing Director, said: “Having successfully offered a graduate internship programme in the past, Beverley was the first apprentice that Quantum has ever employed.
“Her passion for communications and commitment to learning has given me great confidence in her abilities. She has become an integral part of the team, and I’m looking forward to working with her for many years to come.”
Quantum provides public relations, marketing and design services to a wide range of clients to help them achieve their corporate objectives.
