Enovert Community Trust – Media relations and marketing support for environmental trust
Background
Enovert Community Trust (ECT) awards grants under the terms of the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF), providing financial support to a broad range of projects that deliver environmental benefits and have as big an impact as possible on the community.
The Trust distributes funds which are derived from a tax placed on the landfilling of waste. Since it’s the inception of the LCF in 1996, over £1.7 billion has been spent on more than 61,000 projects across the UK.
Brief
Quantum was appointed by ECT, formerly Cory Environmental Trust in Britain, in 2012 with the purpose of elevating the Trust’s visibility and spreading awareness about funding opportunities accessible to community-oriented projects in proximity to Enovert’s landfill sites.
Outcomes
Quantum has devised and delivered a structured media relations-led campaign supported by website development, re-branding, print design and social media establishment.
Regular monthly activities include:
- Liaison with community grant recipients
- Drafting and issuing grant recipient press releases
- Monitoring press coverage
- Compiling a quarterly activity report for review
In addition to the above activities, Quantum also writes and designs an annual report for the Trust, outlining notable projects, which is sent to key stakeholders to showcase the results of projects funded by ECT and the benefits the grants bring to local communities in areas where the Trust operates, which are often in socially and economically deprived neighbourhoods.
